Privacy Policy
In short: MacPad++ does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app does not even have permission to connect to the internet, so your files and text stay on your Mac.
This policy explains how MacPad++ (the “app”), published by VTEK Solutions Limited (“we”, “us”), handles information, and how this website handles information.
1. Information the app collects
None. We do not receive any information about you, your files or how you use the app.
MacPad++ runs in Apple’s App Sandbox without the network permission, so it cannot open internet connections. It can only read and write the files and folders you choose to open.
2. Information stored on your Mac
To work like a desktop text editor, the app keeps the following on your Mac, inside its private sandbox folder. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Preferences, themes, macros, keyboard shortcuts | To remember your settings. |
| Your session: the list of open tabs, and backup copies of unsaved text | So your tabs, including unsaved ones, come back after you quit or if the app crashes. |
| Recent files and Folder as Workspace folders | So you can reopen them. macOS stores secure “bookmarks” that let the app reopen only the files and folders you chose. |
| A record of your in-app purchases | Kept in your Mac’s Keychain so the app works offline (see section 3). |
The Clipboard History panel keeps copied text in memory only while the panel is open. It never saves it to disk, and it ignores items that other apps mark as passwords or other concealed data.
To delete all of this data, quit MacPad++ and delete the app. To also remove its settings and backups, delete the MacPad++ folder in ~/Library/Containers/.
3. Purchases and the free trial
The free trial and the Full Version are in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, email address, Apple Account or payment details.
Apple gives the app a signed record of which MacPad++ purchases your Apple Account owns, including the date you started the trial, so the app can unlock the right features. Apple’s handling of your data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
4. Links and web searches you open
Some features open web pages in your browser when you ask them to. These include clicking a link in a document, Search on Internet, Wikipedia search, PHP help, View in Browser and your own Run menu commands.
For searches, the text you selected becomes part of the web address that opens. The app passes the address to macOS, which opens your browser; the app itself sends nothing. The website you visit then handles your request under its own privacy policy.
5. Crash reports
If you turned on “Share with app developers” in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us. We use them only to fix bugs. You can turn this off at any time in the same place.
6. When you contact us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and to fix the problem you report. We do not add you to any mailing list. We delete support emails when they are no longer needed, and at most two years after the conversation ends.
7. This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and reliability. Those logs are handled under the hosting provider’s privacy policy.
8. Children
MacPad++ collects no data from anyone, including children.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights over your personal data. The only personal data we could hold about you is a support email you sent us. You can ask us to see it or delete it by writing to fares.puce.6d@icloud.com.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how your data is handled, we will also mention it in the app’s release notes.
